The Legion Family
PROJECT: VetRelief is strengthened by the deep and sustained support of the Florida Legion Family — a network of veteran-focused organizations with a shared commitment to serving Veterans, military members, and their families.

The American Legion - Department of Florida
The American Legion, Department of Florida is one of the most active state veterans service organizations in the country, with more than 130,000 members and over 300 posts statewide. Legionnaires support service members and Veterans through advocacy, programs, and community outreach that promote national security, honor, and family well-being. Their leadership and infrastructure help connect Veterans to critical supports like PROJECT: VetRelief.

American Legion Auxiliary — Department of Florida
The American Legion Auxiliary is a companion veterans service organization composed of spouses, mothers, sisters, daughters, and other family members of American Legion members. Auxiliary volunteers serve Veterans and their families through community service, volunteerism, fundraising, and advocacy — reinforcing the support structures that make initiatives like PROJECT: VetRelief possible.

Sons of The American Legion — Detachment of Florida
The Sons of The American Legion (SAL) is made up of male descendants of Veterans and Legion members. Known as one of the strongest fundraising arms of the Legion Family, SAL units take pride in supporting Veterans, children, and community programs. Their fundraising and volunteer efforts contribute directly to veteran-focused causes, including financial aid networks like PROJECT: VetRelief.

Florida American Legion Riders
The Florida American Legion Riders are a family-oriented motorcycling group supporting American Legion mission goals while promoting motorcycle safety and community engagement. Riders raise funds and awareness for charitable causes through organized rides and events, including support for PROJECT: VetRelief’s suicide prevention and emergency financial aid efforts.
Together, these groups — all part of the broader Legion Family — amplify support for Veterans across Florida, combining service, advocacy, fundraising, and volunteer energy to help ensure Veterans in crisis get the help they need.
